The 10 Hardest Questions You Can Ask Yourself About Your Life

March 10

Some nights I can’t even sleep because I am overwhelmed with excitement to see so many people I love and cherish deeply all together. I’ve never done a blog before, but I thought it might be nice — and kind of therapeutic — to do one leading up to the big celebration in NOLA. I’m not sure what the rhythm will be. This might be the first and the last entry, LOL… but here’s a start.

Planning this NOLA celebration has thrust me into a lot of self-reflection. It has me pondering my journey in personal growth over the years and reflecting on my life philosophy. Sixty years on this planet… what did I do, and what did it mean?

I sought out the top ten most important questions one should ask themselves in life. It’s a harder exercise than I thought! I challenge you to ask yourself these questions. Apparently, answering them can help us live a more conscious, intentional life. I’m not sure if I’m eager to share all the answers, but I will share what feels right.

Ten of the most important questions a person can ask themselves, according to expert advice and self-help sources:

  1. Am I happy? (And if not, why?)

  2. For what in my life do I feel most grateful?

  3. What am I avoiding or fearful of facing about myself? (Used to identify the core issue.)

  4. What does success look like for me?

  5. What is my deepest value or purpose?

  6. Who am I becoming as a result of this chase?

  7. What is the “worst” that can happen? (To face fears and assess risks.)

  8. What patterns in my life keep repeating, and what is triggering them?

  9. Am I living the life I want, or the life others expect of me?

  10. If I had a week left to live, what would I do?

I’m not sure if I’m eager to share all the answers, but I will share what feels right
